My after market hand guards came with spacers that replaced the stock bar end weights. The spacers are aluminum. Today while playing in the garage I notice I had some brass bar stock that was about the diameter of the aluminum spacers. Hmmmm…
Cut, face to size, turn down the boss that goes into the ends of the bar, and drill a clearance hole for the M8 screw. Repeat. I didn’t weight the results. I suppose I should have. All I can say is that they are heavier than the aluminum spacers they replace.
I’m curious to see if I notice any difference when riding the bike. If not I at least had some fun making chips in the garage.
