Plugging leaks (August 11-15)
The tar and gravel was stripped from the roof extensions and enough siding removed to ensure that the new roof material 100% covered needed areas. A new drain spout was added in the front and insulation added to ensure that the roofs slope to the drains.
The office studs were covered with a wood preservative at the base of the wall and a few other locations to guard against mold and mildew grown. New insulation was added. The interior wall was insulated, too. A few cross members with indications of rot were replaced as well as all of the building paper.
The outside siding was replaced with proper flashing and work has started on the west balcony. At the same time the bathroom floor and tub trim tile work was being done.
