New decks (August 18-22)
The deck at the west side of the master bedroom was finished by Wednesday. The redwood looks so good we’re thinking stain instead of paint.
Now that the front (west) balcony is done work is starting on the rear. First the siding is properly flashed around the overhang, then the frame for the deck is built.
The stringer is rotted at the bottom step. The step was removed and will be replaced next week. The deck and top step are done. The rails, gate to the roof, and a few cracked steps will be replaced next week. That and a bit of trim is about all that is needed on the exterior of the house.
