Oops!
I took the cases off and went to put the bottom half of the luggage platform on the bike when I discovered why it should have gone on the bike before mounting the frames. There is a spacer, removed in the image to the left, that needs to go throuh a hole in the bottom portion of the luggage platform. Luckily, I was able to remove the screw and spacer, squeeze the spacer in place when mounting the luggage platform, then tighten the screw. Next time I’ll follow the instructions!
That’s it. The platform pieces went back on the bike followed by the luggage rack. The RepRom calls for new screws when mounting the luggage rack as they incorporate a mechanical thread locking mechanism. I used some blue loc-tite, instead. I plan on checking all screws a few hundred miles from now.

Nothing has come loose in the last 500 miles. I did pull the Zega decals off of the side of the cases. They come off quite easily. No heat or chemicals needed.
