The bike hasn’t been built, yet. That doesn’t stop me from beginning the farkle process. This isn’t the first item ordered, but it is the first to arrive.
Wunderlich Handlebar bag
Bag opened
I’m going to try to live without a tank bag. Part of the reason is that the tank bags I’ve seen for the new GS are either too big, too ugly, or mount in a way that I don’t like. But… I still want something to hold a few items in an easily accessed location.
With those thoughts in mind I ordered this handlebar bag from Wunderlich. I’m not 100% sure it will fit the curve of the bars on the new GS, although the Wunderlich web site says it will. Assuming it fits it looks to be the right size to hold the few things I want close at hand. It might be another two months (or more) before I find out.

One of the first things I did when I got home from the dealer is to strap this bag onto the handlebars. Haven’t ridden with the bag yet. I also don’t know if there will be an issue once I get the hand guards I ordered mounted. The jury is still out.

They fit just fine with the hand guards. Pics here.

The addition of Wunderlich up-and-back risers improves things even more. Pics here.
