Olympus XA 35 mm film camera
The Olympus XA I’m using belonged to my dad. It was motorcycle jacket pocket size, even with the flash attached. The A11 flash unit died sometime in the last 20 years. The camera, on the other hand, only needed some batteries – 2 SR44 – for the built in meter. And film.
The XA is an f/2.8 Aperture Priority rangefinder with a 35mm lens. Top shutter speed is 1/500s. There is a control to add a stop and a half of backlight compensation.

Roll 1 – getting used to the camera by shooting around the house, the neighborhood, and on a motorcycle ride.
Roll 2 – more play with another roll of HP5+. I forgot to put a needed developing tank internal baffle in my changing bag when I prepared the film for developing. That resulted in light leaks that make the shots not worth showing.
roll 3 – Shooting Tmax 400, scanning with a DSLR.
